Dirigida pelo cineasta Silvio Tendler e com a participação de figuras proeminentes da política, filosofia e cultura, a série em 5 episódios narra de forma didática os principais acontecimentos políticos do século XX. Através de um material de arquivo riquíssimo, busca-se compreender como as esperanças das utopias deram lugar às tragédias do neoliberalismo.
